The programme is operated in an area called Gitithia in Uplands where the SACCO started originally.  GRAFCO members contribute Ksh. 10 each month to support 30 orphans with twice-a-month food rations, clothing, and education. The SACCO also contributes a part of its monthly income towards the programs kitty to supplement what the members contribute. To ensure a sustainable dignified future for the children, the SACCO initiated a greenhouse project; this was made possible through the support of our North American friend who has contributed to the success of this programme. The goal is to increase the number of children being supported to over 100. Currently, the SACCO pays school fees for two children who joined high school, and provides books and school uniforms.
